GLORIA COHEN
JEWISH LADIES AID SOCIETY PRESIDENT

Gloria Cohen has had a special goal for many years which is actively trying to perpetuate Judaism in a small Jewish community such as Columbus, Georgia. She has served as Jewish Ladies Aid Society’s President at least fifteen times and is the current President. She has served as the Chairperson for Deli Day, a JLAS major fund raiser, for twenty years. She has also served on various other committees for JLAS and the Temple Israel Board. For the past seven years she has served as President of the Jewish Federation of Columbus. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education, Early Childhood. She was Director and teacher of the Columbus Jewish Pre-school, taught Kindergarten at Brookstone School, was Director of a State of Georgia Grant program at Columbus State University as well as teaching Early Childhood Method Courses and supervising Student Teachers at CSU.
